BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH IMPACT

Annette Morgan’s research focuses on taxation policy, tax administration, clinical tax practice, and financial literacy, with a particular emphasis on access to justice and vulnerability within the tax system. Her work translates practitioner-informed evidence into policy-relevant research that informs government decision-making, professional standards, and public understanding of taxation law and administration.

She has authored numerous taxation textbooks, peer-reviewed journal articles, and industry reports, and her research underpins national submissions, advisory roles, and funded projects in collaboration with government and professional bodies. Annette’s applied research contributes directly to reforms affecting vulnerable taxpayers, practitioner regulation, and the operation of Australia’s tax system, positioning Curtin University as a leader in practice-engaged taxation research.
