BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH IMPACT

For the past thirty years I have consistently studied, practiced, researched and taught photography. I have two tertiary qualifications in photography that mirror the technical and conceptual aspects of my career.

Initially trained in industrial photographic illustration techniques and processes, I have been able to work as a commercial and editorial photographer before implementing one of Australia’s first digital post-production laboratories.

My studies in documentary and fine-art photography began with an undergraduate qualification before progressing to first-class honours and most completing my doctoral research.

Across my photography vocation, I have established a national and international artist’s profile and also an academic career that has culminated in my current role as a lecturer within Curtin University’s School of Design and the Built Environment.
