BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH IMPACT

I hold a Master's degree in Nutrition and am currently a PhD candidate in Public Health, with a research focus on chronic disease prevention and healthy ageing. My research experience spans a range of areas in nutritional and public health research, including obesity, diabetes, dietary patterns, and nutrition-related health outcomes.

My current research focuses on understanding the physiological pathways underlying sarcopenic obesity and its relationship with chronic conditions such as diabetes and dementia. In particular, I am interested in applying advanced omics approaches, including metabolomics and lipidomics, to identify biological mechanisms and biomarkers that may improve our understanding of disease development and progression. Through this work, I aim to contribute to the development of evidence-based strategies for the prevention and management of chronic diseases in ageing populations.

I am particularly passionate about working with large-scale epidemiological and clinical datasets to address complex public health questions. I also have a strong interest in evidence synthesis through systematic reviews and meta-analyses, with the goal of translating research findings into meaningful public health practice and policy.
