BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH IMPACT

I specialise in economic geology, with research focused on understanding the processes that control mineralisation and the formation of high-grade ore systems. My work combines petrography, mineralogy, geochemistry, and advanced micro- and nanoscale analytical techniques to investigate mineral-fluid interactions and the mechanisms of metal transport and deposition. My research has a particular focus on high-grade gold mineralisation, where I study the formation and behaviour of gold nanoparticles and their role in ore-forming processes.

I am a member of the Geoscience Atom Probe Facility, which aims to develop new applications of atom probe microscopy for geoscience research and to integrate this technique with complementary analytical methods.
