Dr Mohammad Belayet Hossain is currently working as a lecturer in business law in the Department of Business at Curtin University Malaysia. Previously, he worked as an associate professor in the Department of Law at Uttara University (UU) of Bangladesh. Before joining UU, he worked as an associate professor and dean in the School of Law, Chittagong Independent University of Bangladesh. He was working as a legal advisor at Roots 99 Limited and New Horizons CLC of Bangladesh in Dhaka. He also worked as a lecturer in the Department of Law, City University, Bangladesh. His work experience includes working as a project manager for Diwan Amiri (the government of Qatar), Qatar, and being in charge of a research team based in the UK. He was employed for more than eight years as a leading library assistant (LLA) at the British Library, UK, while pursuing law degrees. He worked as a legal assistant at Leonard & Co. Solicitors, UK. Dr. Hossain completed Ph.D. from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Malaysia; an LLM in Commercial and Corporate Law from the University of London, UK; LLB (Hons.) from the University of Northumbria, UK; and a Diploma in Law from the University of London, UK. Dr. Hossain is a notable author with several publications nationally and internationally, including SCOPUS/Web of Science indexed journals. Dr Hossain is an executive member and reviewer in various international journals. Dr Hossain is a member of the Bangladesh Bar Council.
