BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH IMPACT

I conduct research and supervise HDR students in Plant Ecology:

: • Biotic plant interactions (competition, facilitation, herbivory, soil microbes, mycorrhizae)

 • Plant community structure and dynamics

 • Native and invasive species ecology

 • Ecosystem functioning and resilience

 • Predicting plant responses to environmental change

The applied dimension of my work is Ecological Restoration:

 • Re-establishing native plant communities

 •Niche creation for seed-based restoration

 • Managing invasive species

 • Designing, implementing, and monitoring restoration projects

Industry and Society Engagements:

  • Mine site rehabilitation
  • Indigenouse led Envriornmental Restoration Programs
