BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH IMPACT

I am an Associate Professor at the Curtin University Sustainability Policy Institute and the Project Manager for RACE for 2030 CRC: Pathways to Net Zero Precincts and Envision Tomorrow Australia. I lead projects and research initiatives centred on climate adaptation strategies, urban overheating, innovative mitigation solutions, and the development of sustainability policies.

I manage and coordinate key stakeholders on climate resilience initiatives, including delivering climate change projections and evaluating adaptation. I excel at bridging research and real-world application, transforming cutting-edge research into practical solutions that drive meaningful change.

My work brings sustainable innovation to address real-world challenges, leveraging sustainable design and engineering to tackle today’s most pressing global issues, and ensures that research-driven innovations translate into tangible social and industry benefits.

I am the author of six books, eleven book chapters, and 88 peer-reviewed scientific articles, with an H-index of 35 and over 5,800 citations. I have managed 18 research projects with total funding exceeding USD 4.0 million and have successfully supervised 73 postgraduate students to completion. I also serve as Co-Editor-in-Chief for e-Prime – Advances in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Energy (Elsevier).
