BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH IMPACT
I have over two decades of experience studying underwater acoustic propagation and exploring how environmental variability can cause uncertainty in acoustic predictions. After 14 years of underwater and airborne acoustics research for national defence applications, I have now shifted to measuring and predicting acoustic impacts of anthropogenic activity on marine fauna and underwater soundscapes. Interdisciplinary interests include decision-making, information visualisation, data fusion, and exploring how storytelling helps us make sense of the world.
