BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH IMPACT
Breeanna Melville (she/they) is an early career researcher with practical experience as a Research Assistant at Curtin University. They have a Bachelor of Science (Psychology), Master of Research (Psychology) and is currently completing their doctoral studies at Curtin as well. They have a focus on qualitative research on marginalised peoples, and a large majority of the work they do is as an insider researcher, as they are a queer and neurodivergent academic. They have also worked and volunteered for a number of years in roles relevant to community health, youth mental health, and marginalised communities (predominantly with LGBTQIA+ community); and their research interests fall solidly in these areas. They have a keen focus particularly on the intersectionality, overall wellbeing, and platforming of experiences of marginalised communities.
