BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH IMPACT

Scout Bell (also known as Emilia C. Bell) is a PhD Candidate at Curtin University. Their PhD is on open knowledge diplomacy and explores Australian university libraries in supporting open and collaborative approaches to scholarship on climate change. Scout's research is at the intersection of knowledge production, open scholarship, and libraries in local and global contexts, and also draws on critical disability studies theory.

In addition to their research, Scout works in university libraries, with experience across research support, digital experience, and evidence-based practice. They are Manager, Research and Digital Services, at Murdoch University Library and are associated with various non-profit organisations in leadership and board director positions.
