BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH IMPACT
Farid completed his PhD in Chemistry at Curtin University in 2026, where his research focused on Continuous Electrochlorination for Drinking Water Disinfection in the Presence of Algal Organic Matter. His work investigated how algal-derived organic matter influences disinfection processes and contributes to by-product formation, while also evaluating energy-efficient electrochlorination as a sustainable solution for water treatment. Prior to this, he earned a Master of Soil Science from Tarbiat Modares University in 2002, with a thesis on estimating hydraulic properties of clayey soils using pedotransfer functions. He began his academic journey with a Bachelor of Soil Science from University of Tehran in 1998, establishing a strong foundation in soil and environmental sciences that later evolved into advanced research in water chemistry and environmental sustainability.
