BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH IMPACT
I am a Lecturer and Leader of the Subterranean Research and Groundwater Ecology (SuRGE) Group at the Trace and Environmental DNA (TrEnD) Lab at Curtin University. My research focuses on aquatic environments - both superficial and subterranean - and the incorporation of multidisciplinary designs into the study of functional ecology. My current main projects focus on hypersaline lakes biomonitoring (Australia and Chile), and groundwater ecotoxicology and modelling. Other satellite projects include studies on subterranean trophic dynamics, stygofaunal species identification and urban pond ecology.
