BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH IMPACT
Dr Amir Allahvirdi-Zadeh is a Lecturer in Spatial Sciences in the School of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Curtin University, where he also serves as Deputy Director of Teaching and Learning. He is a senior member and deputy lead of the GNSS-SPAN research group. He completed his PhD in Spatial Sciences at Curtin in 2023 and holds an MSc in Geodesy and a BSc in Surveying. In addition to his academic work, he worked for several years as a geodetic surveyor and project manager on infrastructure projects. He administers Curtin's network of 15+ GNSS receivers, which streams data to IGS-MGEX, JPL/NASA, UCAR, JAXA, Geoscience Australia, DLR and TUMSAT.
