Katrina is a clinical academic and senior lawyer whose career has focussed on the areas of anti-discrimination law, human rights law, legal ethics and access to justice. She is the Curtin Law School Director of Engagement and Impact, and teaches in the Bachelor of Laws at CLS. Katrina leads the Law Reform Clinic within the John Curtin Law Clinic.

Katrina researchs and writes on

• women's human rights, and women's experience of the law
• anti-discrimination law
• law reform
• human rights issues in Western Australia
• legal education pedagogy and clinical teaching.

Katrina is the Unit Coordinator for the Legal Clinic Unit (LAWS3005), and Anti-Discrimination Law (LAWS3036).

Katrina is an active member of the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Committee of the Law Society of WA and the Human Rights Act for WA Coalition Steering Committee.

Katrina was previously the Principal Lawyer of Law Access Ltd. Prior to working in the community sector, Katrina was a Senior Legal Officer at the Legal Profession Complaints Committee where she gained expertise in the area of regulatory law and legal ethics. She is an experienced advocate, and her other experience includes serving on the management committees of two community legal centres and sitting as a Member of two commonwealth tribunals. 

Katrina has a Master of Laws and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Australia and is admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia.
