BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH IMPACT
I am an early career health and medical researcher at School of Allied Health. I am passionate about conducting research that is meaningful and significant to developmentally vulnerable children and their families.
My early research involved the use of advanced biomechanical methodologies to understand movement pathologies, with a focus on functional mobility and gait in children with cerebral palsy. My PhD saw me specialise in 3D gait analysis and the statistical analysis of gait data, and the development of novel techniques to assess musculoskeletal architecture in very young children.
My post doctoral research focuses on the assessment of movement patterns in very young infants as a predictor of neurodevelopmental disorders, and the development of screening tool to be available and accessible for all children, regardless of geographic or social background.
