BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH IMPACT

I am a clinical researcher and the program lead of the Sense Project at Kids Rehab WA, Perth Children's Hospital and the unit coordinator of the Paediatrics unit in the discipline of Occupational Therapy in the Curtin School of Allied Health. I have experience in developing novel interventions for children in partnership with consumers, qualitative and quantitative research designs, and knowledge translation. One of the joys of my work is supporting clinicians to implement the Sense for Kids intervention in clinical practice with children who have a range of neurological impairment. I am passionate about building research capacity in clinicians and students and I currently support PhD students investigating cognition and sensation outcomes for children with cerebral palsy and the impact of sensory changes experienced by children after a burn injury. I am also mum to twins and their older sibling and have a growing interest in the wellbeing of new parents, I currently support several honours and masters by coursework research projects in this space.
