BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH IMPACT

Dr Jia Xu is a Senior Lecturer at Curtin University and serves as Director, Graduate Research in the School of Education. She is a collaborative and internationally experienced academic with over 25 years of experience in teacher education and educational research across Australia and China.

Holding two PhDs in Vocational Curriculum Leadership and Educational Psychology, her scholarship examines how educational systems can better recognise and value diverse ways of learning, thinking, doing, and demonstrating capability. Through strengths-based, practice-informed, and collaborative approaches, she works across inclusive education, teacher education, curriculum and assessment, and technology and vocational education to support more authentic, equitable, and participatory educational environments.
