Dr. Tony Hadibarata is a Professor in the Environmental Engineering Program, Department of Civil and Construction Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Science, Curtin University Malaysia. He obtained his M.Phil. (2006) and Ph.D. (2009) degrees in Environmental Chemistry and Microbiology from Ehime University, Japan.

His research interests focus on Environmental Engineering, Environmental Chemistry, Applied Microbiology, Enzyme Technology, Biodegradation, and Bioremediation. Over the course of his career, Dr. Hadibarata has published more than 200 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He has been the recipient of numerous national and international research grants, including the prestigious European Union grant under Romania’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan, amounting to €1.4 million. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Universitas Diponegoro (Indonesia) and the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest (Romania), and has previously held adjunct positions at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (India) and Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (Indonesia). 

In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Hadibarata is actively involved in editorial work for several high-impact journals, including Adsorption Science and Technology (Associate Editor, JCR Q2, IF 2.8), Water, Air, & Soil Pollution (Editor, JCR Q1, IF 3.8), and Indoor Air (Editor, JCR Q1, IF 4.3). For his significant contributions to the field of environmental science, he has been recognized among the world’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University.
