BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH IMPACT
I have a PhD in English, degrees in History and Education, and am a graduate playwright of the National Institute of Dramatic Arts. My teaching and research specialisms include women’s theatre history, contemporary poetry, Australian Literature, and feminist lifewriting. Published internationally, my award-winning writing includes seven collections of poetry, opera libretti, memoir, and history. Having begun my professional writing life as a rock journalist I’ve since worked as an academic in the UK, Australia, and Italy, and as a bibliotherapist I’ve conducted writing and wellbeing workshops worldwide.
